  • Ran technical interviews for Python developers across projects company-wide, assessing technical expertise and giving structured feedback.
  • Built a tailored interview track per position, working with project managers and stakeholders to keep hiring aligned with what each team actually needed.

Client engagement: UBS — data analysis models

UBS is a global financial services company offering banking solutions worldwide. I was responsible for enhancing the models used in data analysis.

  • Cut memory load significantly by reworking the data-processing path with more efficient techniques.
  • Reduced CPU consumption by refining existing algorithms, improving performance and batch processing times.
  • Managed the code base deployed on Azure, gaining hands-on exposure to cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Supported a cross-functional team extracting data from custom TIFF files; large parts of the code base had to be rewritten, so communication mattered as much as the code.

  • Spent over three and a half years as a Python and Java developer supporting back-office operations.
  • Developed and maintained the applications several departments relied on daily, streamlining internal processes.
  • Designed and built APIs connecting internal services and systems.
  • Built scraping, parsing and transformation pipelines that fed business analysis and reporting.
  • Broke a monolithic system down into microservices — the most demanding and most interesting project of my tenure.
  • Mentored new hires toward the end of my tenure.

Developer — Hacking Systems

Part of the Italian programme placing high-school students in company internships. I contributed to child-safety filtering software that blocked harmful content and monitored activity, making the web safer for minors.
